It has increased passenger and rear seat legroom, front body stabilizing seats, a flat-surface dashboard for higher visibility, and sound-absorbing non-woven fabric on the front and rear fender liners to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness in the cabin.

The 2023 Honda CR-V comes with two powertrain options that send power to a continuously variable transmission redesigned to reduce vibrations using a quieter belt and thicker case.
The EX and EX-L variants use a 1.5-liter engine with a high-pressure turbo + low pressure-loss piping and a new catalytic converter. These engines help improve acceleration response and lower emissions. It creates 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque.
The top-of-the-line powertrain is a 2.0-liter with a two-motor hybrid system. It has a new arrangement that allows better high- and low-speed lockup ratios, which translates to sportier driving dynamics. It makes 205 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque.
All trim levels have new drive modes. These are Normal, ECON, Snow, and Sport.
