One new enhancement is the Active Shutter Grille system. It reduces drag and helps increase fuel efficiency by opening and closing the shutters to control the amount of air going to the radiator and condenser. Hidden windshield wipers, wind-sculptured side mirrors, under-body strakes, shark fin-type antenna, and a rear spoiler also help make it more aerodynamic.
The body bears the familiar Honda front fascia with the wing-shaped chrome grille, LED headlamps with daytime running lamps, and an acoustic windshield (EX-L grade and higher).

The 2023 Honda Odyssey uses only one powertrain. It is a 3.5-liter direct-injection, 24-valve, single overhead cam V6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management.
It sends 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels using a nine-speed automatic transmission for the LX, EX, EX-L, EX-L NR, and a new 10-speed automatic transmission for the Touring, Elite, and Sport grades.
All trim levels have an ECON button that improves fuel efficiency by manipulating the throttle mapping and climate control system. The new Odyssey also comes with an idle-stop system that shuts the engine off for further fuel savings and reduced emissions.
