The CR-V is back for the 2020 model year with a stylish mid-generation exterior refresh, and an expanded list of technology and safety features. Even more than the mid-generation refresh, Honda has also introduced a new hybrid powertrain for the CR-V, which has been the topic of a lot of buzz in the crossover class. The new Hybrid CR-V will run on a 212-horsepower 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder, which will make it wildly powerful and fuel-efficient in one.

A Brief History of the Honda CR-V

The CR-V first appeared on the North American market in 1997 and was introduced as a four-wheel drive vehicle. Just one year later, the two-wheel drive version joined the lineup.
