Honda supports the needs of drivers and passengers with mobility disabilities with the Honda Customer Mobility Assistance Program. The program provides $1,000 to eligible customers for installing qualifying adaptive vehicle equipment or purchasing or leasing eligible Honda vehicles such as wheelchair-accessible Honda Odyssey models.
The Honda Customer Mobility Assistance Program is exclusive to the original owner of an eligible vehicle who makes modifications to accommodate themselves or their immediate family. The vehicle must be purchased from a Honda authorized dealership and only one reimbursement request can be submitted for each vehicle.
Qualifying Modifications
A qualifying modification provides adaptive equipment or modifications that give an individual with a disability convenient access to the vehicle or the ability to drive the vehicle. This may include:
With the exception of wheelchair and scooter ramps or lifts, all modifications must have a prescription to be eligible for the program. Additional details for program qualifications can be found on the official Honda Customer Mobility Assistance Program webpage.
The Honda Odyssey is one of the most popular minivans on the market for several reasons, one of which is how easy it is to adapt for accessibility and mobility and is highly regarded for its accessibility features. Even without modifications, its body style and design are more accommodating than other vehicles on the market for five main reasons.
Popular Honda modifications include the BraunAbility or NorthStar® side entry power in-floor Ramp for the Honda Odyssey; however, the Honda Odyssey isn’t the only Honda model eligible for modifications. Visit Bob Brady Honda and speak with one of the representatives to explore the mobility and accessibility alterations available to you.
