The all-new 2023 Honda Pilot is finally here and is ready to challenge its rivals in the midsize SUV segment with its improved engine, new equipment, bigger body, more spacious cabin, and advanced creature comforts.
The body of the 2023 Honda Pilot has wraparound cladding, large all-terrain tires, roof rails, and front and rear underbody garnishes. The A-pillars have been positioned further back to increase the dashboard-to-axle ratio for a much sportier profile. The standard wheel size is 18 inches, but the Sport and Touring models use 20-inch wheels.
The all-new Pilot is longer than its predecessor. It allows the engineers to stretch the wheelbase for more cabin space and legroom in the second and third rows. It has a panoramic sunroof (Elite and Touring trim levels), ‘New Body Stabilizing’ front seats, a seven-inch instrument panel display, and a new 7-inch infotainment touchscreen monitor with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth audio streaming.
The Pilot came onto the market just as consumer demand for SUVs was hitting its stride. Drivers embraced this offering from the beloved Honda brand, which originally was available only in all-wheel drive. The 2006 model year introduced a two-wheel drive version, as well as new exterior styling and enhanced safety via standard side curtain airbags in all three rows.
